The CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union board of directors announced last week that Charlotte H. Cash has been appointed President/CEO. Cash has been with the Alexandria, Va.-based credit union for 27 years, serving as the vice president, retail sales and marketing for the last 12 years. She succeeds John Blair who retires July 20. Blair had been with CommonWealth One for 18 years as president/CEO. During this time, the credit union has grown to $300 million in assets.
During Cash's tenure at CommonWealth One, she has held management and executive positions after starting as the manager responsible for marketing and business development. Cash is a graduate of George Mason University, Fairfax, Va., and the Credit Union Executive Society CEO Institute. She earned the certified chief executive designation in 2011. She is currently vice chair of the board of directors for the Metropolitan Area Credit Union Managers Association.
"Cash has provided CommonWealth One members and staff with excellent executive leadership for many years," said CommonWealth One Chairman Rupert Jennings.
