The $302 million CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union has found its new president/CEO in Charlotte Cash.

For 12 years Cash has served as the Alexandria, Va., credit union's vice president of retail sales/marketing and will step in for longtime President/CEO John Blair when he retires at the end of the week, the credit union said Tuesday.

Under Blair's leadership for the past 18 years, the credit union has grown to more than $300 million in assets and 35,000 members.

At CommonWealth One for some 27 years, Cash has held numerous management and executive positions.

She is a graduate of George Mason University and the Credit Union Executive Society CEO Institute, earning the Certified Chief Executive Designation in 2011.

Active in the industry Cash also serves as vice chair for the Metropolitan Area Credit Union Managers Association.
