Keeping with its virtual model, Utilities Employees Credit Union will offer investment and insurance services to its members.
The new lineup comes through a partnership with SWBC Investment Services LLC, a registered broker-dealer. The services will be offered through Utilities Employees Investment Services.
The $1 billion UECU in Wyomissing, Pa., said members will have access to investment products as well as consultation services and tools to help members examine or develop their investment portfolio. UEIS' representatives will also assist with financial plans for goals including retirement, saving for a college fund, buying a home, or leaving a legacy.
Starting Aug. 9,UEIS will offer educational workshops to members on investments. The first session will cover investing for tax-free income with a focus on the features and benefits of municipal bonds and municipal bond funds.
UECU is a national, virtual credit union providing financial services to utility and energy workers and their families. UEIS serves the investment needs of the credit union's members, including the employees of 600 utility companies across the nation.
