The $259 million American 1 Credit Union from Jackson, Mich., and the Hillsdale Daily News got together recently to host Kids' Fest at the Hillsdale County Fairgrounds in Hillsdale, Mich.

More than 40 local businesses and organizations participated. Activities included a car seat safety check, child fingerprinting, live animal demonstrations, face painting and pony rides.

“It was a hot day, but it couldn't have gone any better” Jayme Bicknell, American 1 event coordinator, said of the June 20 event.
