The $49 billion Navy Federal Credit Union said it has activated its emergency relief program in response to the Colorado wildfires and the onset of hurricane season.
Vienna, Va.-based Navy Federal is offering the program to any of its 3.9 million members who have been impacted by a national disaster or other FEMA-declared emergency.
Included in the program are emergency relief loans, deferred payments on existing loans, line of credit increases and free express delivery of credit cards, check cards and checks, the credit union said.
“We want to do everything we can to help,” said Jack Gaffney, executive vice president, Lending, at Navy Federal. “Helping to relieve the stresses our members are facing and being there when they need us is why we're in business.”
