Christian Community Credit Union has recently celebrated John Walling's 40 years of service, including 28 at the helm.

Under his leadership, the San Dimas, Calif.-based credit union has grown from $7 million in assets and 5,700 members with a single branch, to more than $532 million in assets and two branches, and serving more than 29,500 churches, ministries and their members in more than 100 countries.

“Few CEOs today have the creativity, the passion, and the energy to reach the 20-year mark in a single organization. Yet John Walling has continued to reinvent himself as president and CEO over a remarkable 40-year career at Christian Community Credit Union,” John Pearson, board chairman, said during the celebration at the credit union's annual meeting.

Walling's career began in 1972 as an assistant manager. Within six years he was named general manager and in 1984 was appointed president/CEO. He currently serves as a board member of PSCU and is also the credit union's board treasurer.

“The credit union's continued success is a collective effort of many people. I give thanks to God for placing me in this position and for the elected officials, management team, and staff as we continue to serve our members,” Walling said.
