More than 250 members at the $439 million Sharon Credit Union in Sharon, Mass., have used the credit union's new iPad app in the first six weeks after it was launched, the credit union said.

The iPad offering completes the year-long rollout of mobile solutions by the five-branch Sharon FCU, using technology from Intuit Financial Services of Calabasas, Calif., the 29,200-member credit union said.

Inquiries, transfers and bill payments have been the most popular uses, the credit union said, adding that 42% of its online bankers are now using mobile devices to access their accounts. Android and Apple apps are available.

"We continue to expand our offerings to provide the ultimate in member convenience. The seamless and secure suite of choices allows members to use a variety of mobile devices to bank on their own terms – anywhere, at any time and on virtually any device," said Brian Arcand, the credit union's senior information officer. Sharon CU has five branches and serves Norfolk, Bristol, Plymouth, Suffolk, Middlesex and Barnstable counties.
