The $589 million SAC Federal Credit Union in Bellevue, Neb., will be deploying the Acumen account processing platform from Fiserv Inc., the company and credit union said.

The 70,000-member SAC FCU – Nebraska's largest credit union – also committed to several other Fiserv solutions, the Brookfield, Wis., company said, including the Nautilus document imaging, Prologue Financial Accounting Services, AML Manager for anti-money laundering detection and reporting, WireXchange and ATM processing.

The credit union said it chose the new platform to provide the technology infrastructure needed to help it continue the growth it has seen as it expanded to 20 locations in eight counties. It also cited automated workflows, built in CRM functionality and Web services.

“Acumen will improve our overall efficiency through its open architecture, which will enable us to quickly integrate new products and aid SAC FCU's growth by providing the necessary tools to deliver superior service to our members,” said Roger Kipe, vice president, information technology, at SAC FCU.

More than 30 credit unions have now committed to the Acumen platform, which was rolled out to the U.S. market in 2009 after it was launched in Canada under the iSpectrum name.

SAC FCU currently is a Fiserv DataSafe core processing customer, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates.
