Alliant Credit Union is the latest credit union to collaborate with student lending CUSO CU Campus Resources, the CUSO announced.

The $8.4 billion Chicago credit union has offered student loans to members for several years; this new partnership will allow Alliant CU to expand its existing program, said CU Campus Resources.

“Alliant is thrilled to offer another option to our members who are looking to continue their education,” said Ericka Gorman, consumer loan product/project manager for Alliant CU. “The partnership with CU Campus Resources facilitates offering loans with features such as interest-only payments and deferment options. This is something our members have been requesting and we are very happy to let them know we have listened.”

Wholly owned by UW Credit Union in Wisconsin, CU Campus Resources offers a full suite of private student loan products and services that can be customized to meet individual credit unions' needs. The CUSO uses technology from Cology Inc. to provide a core processing system and back-office support to clients.

“Alliant CU has been assisting their members for several years with private student loans,” said Mike Long, chief operating officer for CU Campus Resources. “We're excited to partner with them and provide them with the technology to easily expand their program. This new process will better serve both their members and the credit union.”
