Organizers of a summit targeted at business owners and budding entrepreneurs in Yolo County, Calif., are expecting a large turnout.

The first annual Yolo County Small Business Resource Summit will take place June 20 at the UC Davis Conference Center.

The event aims to bring together resources that are available to assist small business owners and entrepreneurs within Yolo County, including tips from experts on how to start or grow a business and breakout sessions on business funding in today's economy, taxes, business development and energy solutions.

The $196 million Yolo Federal Credit Union in Woodland, Calif., is one of the sponsors of the summit along with the University of California-Davis, First Northern Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Premier West Bank among others.

Organizers say while the summit is free, they are expecting space to be limited. Small businesses are encouraged to register by June 8.
