Ensenta and MShift have partnered in a joint mobile banking and remote deposit checking deployment now in place at five credit unions, the companies said.

They are the $1.4 billion EECU and $181 million Unity One CU in Fort Worth Texas; $1.4 billion State Department FCU in Alexandria, Va.; $350 million Air Force FCU in San Antonio; and the $351 million Nutmeg State FCU in Rocky Hill, Conn., the companies said.

MShift's mobile apps and Ensenta's RDC solutions are integrated with a single sign-on and provides access from either smartphones or tablets, the companies said.

Scott Ward, executive vice president/chief operating officer at Unity One, said his credit union already offered Internet-based RDC but registered a 40% increase in the number of remote deposits and 65% increase in mobile usage in the first three weeks of the joint deployment. "Obviously this is a great convenience to our members, but the operational efficiencies we're seeing in the administration of MShift's mobile deposit makes this a great solution for our credit union too," Ward said.

Redwood Shores, Calif.-based Ensenta's remote deposit suite includes real-time risk management and uses Mitek Systems RDC technology.

MShift is a Fremont, Calif.-based provider of mobile platforms with deployments in place at more than 200 credit unions and banks.
