Tony Budet, president/CEO of University FCU has been selected to serve on the board of CUNA, while Paul Trylko, president/CEO of Amplify FCU was elected chairman of the Texas Credit Union League.

Budet has served $1.5 billion University FCU for more than 28 years. "We have to make the time for the things we consider important," notes Budet. "I'm blessed with a board that values and encourages trade and community involvement and a talented executive team to which I can liberally delegate."

Budet said he is committed to partnering with fellow CUNA directors to shape a legislative and regulatory climate for credit union success.

Trylko was first elected to the Texas league board in 2008 and was elevated chair at the league's annual membership meeting in April.

Trylko has served the nearly 43,000 members of Amplify FCU since 1989. Prior to joining this $590 million credit union, Trylko spent 10 years at Austin-based Velocity CU.

"The world in which we operate is changing so rapidly, and it's critical that we stay on our toes if we want to maintain a strong position within the financial marketplace," notes Trylko. "I am committed to serving alongside a diverse group of experienced credit union leaders whose sole purpose is to ensure the interests of our more than 500 credit unions are represented." League President/CEO Dick Ensweiler said, "Both credit union executives are capable and competent leaders who will serve our movement well."
