The $59 million Northwoods Credit Union in Cloquet, Minn., is the first MnIPC client to offer its members mobile remote deposit capture through the St. Paul, Minn.-based CUSO's arrangement with Cachet Financial Services.

Cachet's CheckReview product monitors the deposits with real-time image verification, and MnIPC completes the cycle by processing Northwoods Credit Union's checks, the companies said.

The platform supports iPhones, BlackBerrys and Androids and some tablets, the companies said.

“Our members are part of a mobile nation. Northwoods was looking for a way to meet their needs, and with Cachet and MnIPC we are really getting the full package,” said Northwoods CU President Barb Brown.

“Through the mobile deposit platform, credit unions can distinguish themselves as organizations dedicated to meeting and surpassing members' needs,” said Michelle Carlson, vice president at item processor MnIPC.
