Economics as incentives and strategic leadership will be the topics of the keynote speakers at NAFCU's 45th Annual Conference and Exhibition, set for July 24-28 at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, Tenn.

They are Stephen Dubner, bestselling co-author of Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything, and Tim Harrington, president of T.E.A.M. Resources, a strategic planning and training consultancy for financial institutions.

Dubner will speak on how to understand economic incentives as essentials for increasing membership and loyalty and understanding the right products and services to develop.

Harrington is a CPA and former Tucson, Ariz., credit union board chairman who will discuss how credit unions can use the leadership methods of President Dwight Eisenhower—arguably the most important leader from World War II—to foster success. Harrington also will distribute free and autograph copies of his book, Eisenhower on Enlightened Leadership.

The conference also will feature a new board and supervisory committee educational track and forum, Women's Leadership Summit, Defense Credit Union Summit and a trade show.

Early registration ends June 1 and is online.
