The $16 million First Lincoln Credit Union in Lincoln, Neb., said it has sharply broadened its service footprint for its 3,000 members by joining nationwide shared branching through the CU Service Network.
The move makes more than 4,500 branches nationwide available to First Lincoln's members.
“Although shared branching has been in place in other areas of the country for some time, it's relatively new to this area and we're excited to be a part of it,” said First Lincoln CEO Wayne Wacker.
“As Lincoln grows and our membership becomes more mobile and spread out, we see shared branching as a viable instrument for bringing convenience to our members,” Wacker said.
CU Service Network is a Lakewood, Colo., CUSO that provides shared branching, online account opening and other services to more than 100 credit unions.
