The $261 million Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union in northern Lower Michigan said it plans to deepen the online banking experience for its 27,000 members with a new personal financial management solution.

AAACU said it has chosen the PFM solution MoneyDesktop of Provo, Utah, to give members an aggregated look at their finances and provide them with money management tools including budgeting and debt management.

“Gaining an understanding of one's financial picture will empower our members to make prudent financial decisions,” said Donald Mills, president/CEO at AAACU. “MoneyDesktop's PFM will deliver this experience within our It's Me 247 online banking and put AAACU at the center of our member's financial world.”

The PFM also includes data analytics and cross selling features the credit union said will help it drive wallet share, loyalty and revenue.

MoneyDesktop said its PFM has now been chosen by more than 260 credit unions.
