The 135 credit unions using EPL Inc. as their core processor will now be offered the instant issue and PIN selection card services of MagTek of Seal Beach, Calif.
The Birmingham, Ala., CUSO said its analysis of credit union data yields an estimated savings of more than $500 a month based on generating about 120 cards using existing card production methods, while adding card personalization capabilities.
The MagTek card management solution doesn't replace that card production method but instead can be used as a companion product to reduce costs and risk and increase member satisfaction, EPL said.
"This partnership adds some outstanding member focused capabilities to our i-POWER system. MagTek's solutions allow EPL credit union customers to offer card delivery services that will allow credit unions to achieve top of wallet status in a very cost-effective manner," said Todd Proulx, senior vice president of business development at the Alabama CUSO.
