Nassau Financial Federal Credit Union reported the death of Board President Emeritus Anne L. Kostynick. After serving the credit union for 55 years and holding the position as president for the past 20 years, she had recently retired from the Westbury, N.Y.-based credit union.

Kostynick's credit union career began in 1957, when she worked during lunch hours assisting members. In 1973, she was appointed a director and was subsequently re-elected to consecutive three-year terms. Kostynick was elected president of the board of directors in 1992.

As president, Kostynick was involved in many committees and oversaw board decisions while implementing new programs and services for Nassau Financial members. During her service, Nassau Financial grew in assets from $1 million to more than $383 million.
