Georgia United Credit Union in Duluth, Ga., has been working hard to help the hungry with a canned food drive at its 16 branches. The non-perishables will go to local food pantries.  “We have heard some great stories from our branches during our two month CAN HUNGER drive,” said Warren Butler, president/CEO of the $935 million suburban Atlanta credit union.  “From third-grade classes at Pleasant Grove Elementary School in Dalton issuing a challenge to other classes in their school system to many members contributing financially, the response has been very positive.” More than five tons of food are expected to be gathered in total. Members who donated were entered into a drawing for an iPad to take place on April 30.
