NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz recently announced the appointment of Martha J. Ninichuk as deputy director of the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives.

“Martha's selection as OSCUI's deputy director solidifies an outstanding leadership team,” said Matz. “Her mix of small credit union management and broad credit union field work is ideal for this hands-on position. Martha's wide range of experiences, from running a small credit union in Michigan, to consulting for two state leagues, to international credit union development projects, will also bring fresh perspectives to OSCUI's work.”

Ninichuk joins NCUA from her position as director of cooperative initiatives for the Michigan Credit Union League, where she and her team helped credit unions provide financial products and services to underserved and low-income populations. In working for the Maryland and DC Credit Union Association as vice president of consulting and credit union services, Ninichuk  teamed with small credit unions to help them address governance issues and product development.
