Surprising customers at Dunkin Donuts on Lakeview Avenue in Dracut recently, Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union employees performed a random act of kindness by handing out free T-shirts and $5 Dunkin Donuts gift cards.
"Enjoy the day," Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union President and CEO Mark S. Cochran said as he handed a gift card to a beaming Dunkin Donuts customer.
Both walk-in and drive-through customers enjoyed the unexpected treats as Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union employees made sure they all received a gift card and T-shirt.
The surprise random act of kindness giveaway was created as a way for Jeanne D'Arc to share its 100th anniversary celebration with the community. Other events include an ongoing $100 a day for 100 Days giveaway in which one credit union member is selected at random each day to receive $100. Another is sponsorship of a free concert on June 23 by the Quebec-based band Genticorum at Boarding House Park in Lowell, Mass., Additional events will be announced periodically throughout the year.
The Lowell-based Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union was established in 1912 and now has more than 58,000 members and more than $950 million in assets. It operates six full-service branches.
