Friday's edition of HUFFPOST HILL featured a quick paragraph about the credit union lobby versus community banks. Over the last couple of years, a small coalition of credit unions has built up the background and the foot soldiers to help maneuver supplemental capital legislation through Congress. The coalition was looking to supplement the trade associations' lobbying efforts. The collaboration between the credit unions and trade associations is exactly the type of cooperative work the credit union community needs and will hopefully spawn more.
