ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Executives with card processor FIS will address credit union payment executives about the company's information security efforts at several points during the annual meeting of Card Services for Credit Unions, the association of credit unions that process their payment transactions with FIS.
The NCUA forwarded a supervisory letter that the company had received from other regulators to credit unions which process with FIS and advised them to consider the letter in their management of vendor relationships.
CSCU President Robert Hackney announced the different venues where Greg Schaffer, FIS chief information security officer, and other FIS executives will address credit union concerns about the company and its security efforts.
“I want to assure you that we get – boy, do we get it – that the security of your members' information is your top priority and it is ours as well,” Hackney told the gathering of payment executives Thursday in the first minutes of the annual meeting's first session.
