The $1 billion Oregon Community Credit Union is adding private education loans to its product menu through a new partnership with CU Campus Resources, a CUSO providing customized student loan and campus relationship advisory services, CU Campus Resources announced.

Headquartered in Eugene, Ore., home of the University of Oregon, Oregon Community CU serves more than 100,000 members and is third largest credit union in the state of Oregon.

“We strive to be there for our members in every stage of life, but we felt it was especially important to bring on a solid private student loan program as our roots truly are with the University of Oregon and we're very much entwined with both K-12 and higher education in the communities we serve,” said Jerry Liudahl, chief credit officer for Oregon Community CU. “This is one more way we can support both our members and our community.”

CU Campus Resources is wholly owned by UW Credit Union in Wisconsin and currently holds a loan portfolio of nearly $400 million. The CUSO uses technology powered by Cology Inc. to offer core processing and back-office support to its partner credit unions.

“Oregon Community has been doing good work with Oregon college students for years,” said Mike Long, chief operating officer for CU Campus Resources. “We're extremely pleased to be partnering with them to provide a streamlined, user-friendly private student loan experience for their members through the use of our technology and resources.”
