More than 1,300 members have downloaded remote deposit checking apps from Rivermark Community Credit Union since March 1, when it became the first credit union in Oregon to offer the service, the CU said.

Mobile apps are available for Apple and Android devices, the $533 million, 62,000-member Beaverton credit union said, while PC service is available through the credit union's online banking site.

"It's still early, but so far over 60% of deposits have been made using an Apple device, 30% using an Android device and the rest using a PC-based desktop scanner," said Aaron Bledy, remote delivery manager at Rivermark Community CU.
