First Florida Credit Union, Jacksonville, Fla., appointed LaTisha J. Thompson to serve on its board of directors. Thompson brings 10 years of human resources management and leadership experience to First Florida. She is the director and strategic human resources business partner for CSX Transportation Inc., where she has strategic oversight for over 30,000 management and union employees. In 2010, she was recognized with the CSX Chairman’s Award of Excellence. In addition to her career experience, Thompson serves on the board of directors of the Hubbard House and the National African American Women’s Leadership Institute. Thompson received a bachelor of science in marketing from Troy State University, and she received a master of arts in human resources management and development from Webster University. She also earned a senior professional in human resources designation.
