Fiserv Inc. said the $1.3 billion Navigant Federal Credit Union in Smithfield, R.I., has decided to deploy the company's flagship Acumen account processing platform for large credit unions.
The 49,000-member Navigant cited the new platform's flexible, open architecture and reliability in its decision, and will also add several other Fiserv solutions, including wire transfer processing, fraud detection, the ACCEL/Exchange ATM and point-of-sale network, accounting, imaging and member relationship software.
"One of our strategic objectives is to effectively compete with large, regional financial institutions in our area by constantly developing and delivering innovative financial services and products that benefit our members," said Navigant President/CEO Gary Furtado. "With its advanced Internet technology, Acumen provides integrated access to data to improve our decision-making power and create superior workflows."
The credit union will use the platform in an ASP environment. Navigant currently runs on the Fiserv Spectrum platform.
Fiserv said it has now contracted with more than 30 credit unions to run the Acumen core platform.
