Eli Lilly Federal Credit Union and author Peter Dunn have teamed up for a contest they hope will help people change the direction of their financial lives.

On April 2, the $968 million Indianapolis credit union will kick off the contest inspired by Dunn's principles from his book 60 Days to Change: A Daily How-To Guide with Actionable Tips for Improving Your Financial Life.

About 500 members and nonmembers of ELFCU will receive a free copy of the book if they commit to the 60-day program. At the end of the contest period, May 31, they will be asked to report back with a written or video essay explaining the changes they've made with regards to their finances.

Each of the three winners will receive $1,000 and will be invited to a special luncheon in June with ELFCU representatives and Dunn, who's billed as “Pete the Planner”.
