CU Members Mortgage, the mortgage loan origination and servicing firm that is a division of Colonial Savings Bank, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year and will formally mark the accomplishment at its 15th National Mortgage Lending Conference on Monday and Tuesday in Fort Worth, Texas.

The privately held, Dallas-based firm remains family owned and reported originating more than $2 billion in 2011 with partner credit unions. The firm said it closed its first CU affiliated mortgage loan in 1982 for less than $100,000 and has grown to more than 1,000 affiliated CUs.

“It's been a wonderful ride helping credit unions over the years with their mortgage services,” said Linda Clampitt, senior vice president of CU Members Mortgage, who's been with the company since 1993. “We see this as a much-needed service in today's financial marketplace that allows credit unions to readily compete with their counterparts, help navigate the constant flow of new regulations, and fully serve their members to achieve the dream of owning a home,” Clampitt said.
