PSCU Financial Services is sponsoring a select group of 15 young credit union leaders at CUNA's Governmental Affairs Conference set for March 18-22 in Washington, D.C.

The leaders, known as the Crashers, will attend mentoring sessions with system leaders and outings with representatives from their states.

The Crashers will be also be responsible for designing new ways for credit unions to use the cooperative model to grow their business, improve their communities and heighten advocacy, PSCU said.

The Crashers group with the most promising initiative, chosen by a panel of judges, will present their concept and results at CUNA's Community & Growth Conference in October 2012.

“We support the Crashers because we want to involve younger credit union leaders in the development of creative new ideas that can help move the credit union industry forward,” said Michael Kelly, president/CEO, PSCU Financial Services.

“As part of our new corporate culture, we are also sending our own group of young PSCU Financial Services' professionals to join the Crashers at the conference,” Kelly said.

Crash the GAC is a project of The Cooperative Trust, a Filene project and is supported by CUNA Mutual Group.
