SECU, Linthicum, Md., has named Stacey K. Rineer to be the credit union’s new controller. Rineer comes to SECU from Seton Keough High School, where she served as director of finance and operations. In that position, Rineer was responsible for all critical business processes at the school, including cash management, payroll, tuition billing and collections, financial aid administration and annual budget preparation. She also managed human resources, maintained all insurance coverage and assisted in the development of the school’s annual technology plan. Rineer previously was a partner at Clifton Gunderson LLP, where she managed a portfolio of 45 clients, generating $1.7 million in annual fees. There, she served as the engagement partner on the audit of a variety of middle market clients, including a number of business risk services clients in the financial services industry. She was also a member of the Baltimore office’s marketing and business development team. The graduate of King’s College started her professional career at the Baltimore office of Ernst & Young LLP, where she rose from staff accountant to senior manager. She managed the audits of both large, publicly held commercial clients and privately held middle market clients in the financial services, technology, consumer finance, leading and health care industries. A member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Rineer was recognized as a Smart CPA by Smart CEO Magazine in 2009.
