CUNA Mutual Group and the NCUA are collaborating to include fraud mitigation sessions on the agenda for 31 daylong workshops and roundtables the federal regulator is hosting for small credit unions in 2012.
"These workshops provide an opportunity for two organizations committed to the credit union space to focus on best practices and solutions that help smaller credit unions manage risk and avoid fraud," said Brad Mundine, CMG senior manager of risk management services.
The majority of the interactive fraud prevention training sessions during the program – titled "Don't Give Fraud the Green Light – Mitigating Fraud in Your Credit Union" – will be conducted by CMG risk management consultants.
