Since implementing fiVISION's automated account opening software ACCOUNTworks 2G, Sb1 Federal Credit Union says it has shaved nearly 30 minutes off each new member account opening process.

The Philadelphia-based, $535 million credit union said its new member account opening process previously required the use of six different programs. Sb1 FCU implemented the solution from fiVISION, an Indiana-based technology vendor serving credit unions and community banks, in July 2011.

ACCOUNTworks 2G establishes new membership accounts and pulls ChexSystems, OFAC and member credit reports in a single step, and is integrated to Sb1 FCU's XP System's core solution, the CU said.

“This online application has improved how individuals join our credit union as well as improved our internal opening processes for new members, which is a big time saver for new members and staff alike,” said Linda Weber, vice president of member service for Sb1 FCU. “Staff can now spend their time getting to know each new member's specific financial needs and be able to offer products and services that will benefit that member.”

Sb1 FCU also uses fiVISION's MEMBERworks software, a sales and service focused member management platform.

fiVISION President Mike Winter said, “Saving nearly a half hour per new membership enrollment and account opening is a significant improvement that has been experienced time and time again by both members and staff. It has taken their member service levels to new heights – and that obviously benefits them now and well into the future.”
