For its role in helping to create more jobs, Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad recently recognized Dupaco Community Credit Union's business lending efforts.

One of the businesses helped by the $975 million Dupaco was Unified Therapy Services, an outpatient therapy clinic that provides physical, occupational and speech language therapy services to children. The firm launched in 2006 and has since grown from a staff of three to 26 thanks to member business loans approved by Dupaco, according to the Dubuque, Iowa-based credit union. The clinic was initially located in a leased, 4,000-square-foot space but had to purchase a larger facility to accommodate its growth.

Branstad toured the clinic and visited patients last Friday along with Dupaco President/CEO Bob Hoefer, Rick Dusil, business lending vice president, Joe Hearn, chief operating officer and David Klavitter, marketing senior vice president.
