South Carolina’s credit unions gave away up to $20 worth of free gas to the first 100 people in line in four different parts of the state one morning last week. It’s part of the MAD TAG campaign to highlight good deeds done by local people in their community. A Facebook page also has been created that encourages people to submit examples of good deeds that have been done for them. The credit unions will give out a reward monthly to a winner selected from those Facebook postings. One poster from Taylors, S.C., in the Upstate said, “I received the gas at a reduced price from Hickory Point. Thanks! I passed on my blessing by buying dinner for a friend.”
