Corelation Inc. has partnered with Wescom Resources Group and PSCU Financial Services to provide those CUSOs' services to the core processing startup's credit union clients.
WRG's online and mobile banking products will be packaged with the San Diego company's new KeyStone core processing system, which also will be interfaced with PSCU's payment services and full-service contact center, the companies said.
Serving one of Corelation's first clients – the $191 million Cabrillo Credit Union in San Diego – led to the new relationships.
Cabrillo CU wanted to keep its WRG online banking services and while making that happen, Corelation and WRG found that also found that Corelation could run its core platform within WRG's data center in a service bureau model and access other services such as COLD storage, imaging and IT network management, if a credit union chose to go that route.
PSCU's services also could be interfaced with the new core platform, in this case providing Cabrillo with access to the big CUSO's 7/24 contact center services.
“Now that Total Member Care representatives are able to connect directly to KeyStone, they have access to more information about our members. This means they can handle a greater number of inquiries for us and help us increase our one-call resolution rates,” said Robin Lentz, Cabrillo's CEO.
“We see this partnership leveraging the best practices we have developed here at Wescom, with the experience and ingenuity of Corelation,” said WRG President Tim Dolan. “The credit unions benefit because they leverage the staffing, know-how and resources of a $2.4 billion credit union at a fraction of the cost of doing those on their own.”
Corelation Inc. has three credit union customers running live on its new KeyStone system. The San Diego firm said it also entered 2012 with five more credit unions committed to converting to the member-centric platform.
Wescom Resources Group is a CUSO of Wescom Credit Union in Pasadena, Calif., and provides online and mobile banking, bill pay, remote deposit checking, ACH, core processing and other services to more than 225 credit unions.
PSCU Financial Services in St. Petersburg, Fla., said it now has more than 680 members credit unions and provides credit, debit, prepaid, online bill pay, contact center and electronic banking services to more than 1,500 financial institutions.
