The $7.5 billion The Golden 1 Credit Union of Sacramento, Calif. has a new chief financial officer.

She is Tamara Ferrin, promoted from vice president and controller to senior vice president and given the CFO slot.

Announcement of the appointment was made by Donna A. Bland, president/CEO.

Ferrin, who joined Golden 1 in 2004, has 15 years of experience serving at several CUs and holds a finance and management degree from Woodbury University in Burbank, Calif.

The Golden 1 is California's second-largest CU and has 80 branches and 600,000 members.
