The retired CEO of the $66 million Central Missouri Community Credit Union in Warrensburg, Richard Orr, and the president/CEO of the $20 million Saint Luke's CU of Kansas City, Susan Venable, have been named to the Missouri Credit Union Commission.

The two have been named to six-year terms and were appointed by Democratic Gov. Jay Dixon Orr and Venable were confirmed to the jobs following a recent hearing by the Missouri Senate Gubernatorial Appointments Committee.

Orr, who retired in 2007, served 25 years for the CU seeing its assets climb from $5 million in 1982.

Venable started at Saint Luke's as a teller in 1977 before becoming president in 1984. The CU serves a Kansas City hospital complex.

Venable has served as a director of the Missouri Credit Union Association and on its Kansas City Chapter.  She has also been a director of the foundation board and of Missouri Corporate.

Orr and Venable filled the former seats of Charles Waalkes and Larry Giesing after their terms had expired.
