Lisa Renner, CEO of CU Holding Co. LLC in Lenexa, Kan., has resigned from the CUSO to start her own consulting firm.

The Renner Group LLC aims to help clients realize growth through collaboration by helping them overcome barriers to collaboration, identify like-minded partners and maximize alignment around common goals and expectations, Renner said.

Renner has served in the credit union movement for 15 years, and is best known for building CU Holding Co. and its family of CUSOs, which include Beyond Marketing LLC, TruHome Solutions LLC, TruHome Title Solutions LLC, XtraCash LLC, Co-operative Payroll Solutions LLC and Members Development Co. LLC.

Renner, who has served for more than 10 years as CEO of CU Holding Co., announced her resignation in January and subsequently launched The Renner Group, which will be based in Overland Park, Kan.

“Collaboration is the credit union industry's competitive advantage,” Renner said. “It's in our cooperative DNA and other financial service providers wish they had it. Beyond the CUSO model, I'm uncovering unique collaborative business models emerging around the world. I want to share those insights and help others learn how to collaborate more effectively.”

As a professional speaker, strategic planning facilitator and consultant, Renner said she will share insights and teaches strategies and tactics learned over her career to help build successful collaboratives.

Renner said she will continue to serve as treasurer on NACUSO's board as well as chairperson of the group's legislative and regulatory advocacy committee.

“I've been on the frontline building collaboratives and seeing the benefits for 10 years. The Renner Group is committed to sharing this experience by motivating and teaching others how to collaborate for growth,” Renner said.
