A month after TDECU Insurance Agency LLC acquired a Houston-based insurance company, the CUSO has bought two more insurance firms.
TDECU Insurance said it acquired Assurance Insurance Agency Inc. in Bellville, Texas and Burridge Insurance Agency Inc. in Angleton, Texas. Both deals closed on Thursday.
The most recent acquisitions come on the heels of the CUSO's purchase of Associated Insurance Agency Inc., which closed on Jan. 3.
Assurance specializes in commercial insurance for small and mid-sized businesses. Burridge offers life and health insurance and employee benefits.
TDECU Insurance is a wholly owned subsidiary of the $1.8 billion Texas Dow Employees Credit Union in Lake Jackson.
