Member Driven Technologies said it has converted the $81 million PortAlliance Federal Credit Union in Norfolk, Va., onto the Symitar Episys core platform through the suburban Detroit CUSO’s data centers.

The 10,177-member PortAlliance had been an Open Solutions Inc. customer, according to the Technology Survey from Callahan & Associates. It’s now the 53rd credit union running Episys through MDT, the CUSO said.

PortAlliance FCU was founded in 1958 as NORVA Naval Supply Center FCU to serve civilian and military personnel assigned to the Naval Supply Center in Norfolk and changed its name in 2000.

MDT was founded in 2003 by a group of Michigan credit unions and now has operations in Warren and Southfield, Mich., serving credit unions in 21 states.
