CU Members Mortgage, a division of the Colonial Family of Companies, reported a strong 2011, adding 43 new credit union clients, hiring 15 new staff and partnering with Mortgagebot on a new online mortgage resource.
Much of the firm's work last year revolved around helping client CUs address the regulatory changes to the mortgage process, according to Linda Clampitt, senior vice president with CU Members Mortgage in Dallas.
"As we faced the new regulation changes in regards to appraisals last year, our correspondent department adjusted its processes and technology for UAD [Uniform Appraisal Dataset] and UCDP [Uniform Collateral Data Portal] compliance," Clampitt said. "This was challenging, however, we worked with our credit union partners very closely to work through the logistics and provided a resource to make it smooth and affordable, and to move forward."
