Credit union executives will have the chance to hear from and ask questions of the heads of the two federal regulatory agencies that have the most impact on their operations. On Feb. 8, NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Richard Cordray will hold a joint webinar.

Matz and Cordray will make remarks and then answer questions.

Cordray, a former Ohio attorney general, began serving in the post last week after President Obama made a recess appointment, following repeated attempts by Senate Republicans, who wanted a change in the agency's structure.

The CFPB is in an independent agency housed inside the Federal Reserve. The webinar is set for 3 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Feb. 8, and registration is available online.
