The $117 million Riverset Credit Union in Pittsburgh is now offering its 14,700 members mobile banking through the Mobile Money service from Fiserv's Mobiliti operation.

The mobile service is being offered through text, mobile Web browser and downloadable applications, the credit union said.

The mobile launch was part of a year-long effort that also included online banking, bill pay and website upgrades, said Christine Chojnicki, president/CEO at Riverset.

“We spent the majority of 2011 focusing on technology both internally to create more efficiency as well as on our external channels to remain relevant to consumers,” Chojnicki said. “While we continue to offer conventional channels for utilization, we need to be everywhere our members are and what better place than in the palms of their hands?”
