On My Way, a new financial goal-setting tool recently launched by United Teletech Financial FCU, is a Web-based platform that uses the power of personal accountability and earned rewards to increase the rate of success users experience in reaching their financial goals.

"We truly believe in helping people prosper and On My Way is the evolution of that commitment to our community," said Leo Ardine, president/CEO of the $287 million United Teletech Financial of Tinton Falls, N.J. "Making this platform available for the New Year is our way of providing the community with an exciting tool to help New Year's resolutions succeed."

On My Way is unique in that once a commitment is set by a user, friends and family can be invited to serve as supporters by the user to keep his or her goals on track, the credit union said. UTF's financial coaches can also be chosen as referees at no cost.

Aside from the free financial coaching, users can also earn rewards for sticking with the program, UTF said.

Points are redeemable for rewards such as discounts on UTF loans, gift cards and sports and electronic equipment. While anyone can use the program, only UTF members are eligible to redeem points for rewards.

In addition to committing to financial goals, users will also be able to access practical advice on topics such as budget planning, purchasing insurance, debt management and cash flow, plus saving for education and retirement, the credit union said.
