Keynote speakers have been signed and registration is under way for the 2012 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference, set for March 18-22 at the Washington Convention Center.
Scheduled to speak are former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, Watergate journalists Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein and political analyst/commentator Charlie Cook. Breakout sessions and what's billed as the industry's largest exhibit hall also are featured.
More than 4,000 credit union executives and board members again are expected to attend the GAC to hear from congressional and administration officials and regulatory agencies and to visit their own lawmakers on Capitol Hill, CUNA said.
Guest and family programs also are being offered and the GAC this year kicks off with an opening concert by American Idol winner Taylor Hicks.
Hotel and registration information is online.
