More than 650 people have shared 500 answers and viewed pages more than 13,000 times in the first year of a social collaboration portal for clients of Passageways LLC, the company says.
The online community was created last December to give users of the West Lafayette, Ind., CUSO's various intranet and portal solutions the ability to share best practices and other information on a variety of industry topics, Passageways said.
The pilot group of 10 has grown quickly and more than 13,000 views have been recorded since the launch last December, the company said.

The name of the service–CommuniTree–was selected from suggestions submitted in a contest for Passageways customers.
"In today's world having information at my fingertips is a necessity," said Jen Taylor of the $1.4 billion Genisys Credit Union in Auburn Hills, Mich., winner of the contest. "It is such a great tool for accessing peers and their knowledge of a system we have in common. "
Paroon Chadha, co-founder and vice president at Passageways, said more than 200 questions have been asked, 500 answers given and nearly 100 best practices shared by staff from among the more than 180 organizations, including Passageways employees, who have participated.
"Our staff is excited to provide such a viable platform that creates new success for our customers through collaborative support," Chadha said.
Passageways said it now provides corporate and board portal solutions to more than 250 CUs.
