The $1.1 billion Meriwest Credit Union in San Jose, Calif., has replaced an in-house system with a series of Check 21 solutions from VSoft Corp. of Atlanta, the company and credit union said.
Included are remote deposit capture solutions for back counter, teller and ATM operations, running in a SaaS (software as a service) model, avoiding the costs of in-house installation and upkeep, VSoft said.
The company said the RDC solutions allow Meriwest to capture, correct and balance deposits quickly and securely from both the teller window and back office as well as receive and process from image-enabled ATMs.
“We decided to replace our previous system and add VSoft's RDC solutions to improve operations, better serve members and attain our growth objectives,” said Hudson Lee, the 83,000-member Meriwest's CFO.
VSoft said its core and payment processing solutions have now been used by more than 1,900 credit unions, banks, savings institutions, transaction processors and other customers.
