Keesler Federal Credit Union now offers a special savings program to their youngest members.

The Money Mammals Club is a youth member program that focuses on the relevant financial literacy issues. The club encourages kids to open credit union accounts that will start them on the right track toward a positive financial future.

Terri Gonzalez, the Biloxi, Miss.-based credit union's financial education manager said, "The Money Mammals Saving Money Is Fun Kids Club engages kids with video, print and online media.

With the assistance of a very fun and animated mascot, Joe the Monkey, Keesler FCU is bringing the Money Mammals program into local elementary schools to help children understand the importance of using their money wisely.

Parents will also benefit by watching their kids make smart money choices. This is a very interactive program filled with fun and games, and the kids just love it."
