Deployed service people based at Fort Drum in Upstate New York – including the father and husband of this family – are receiving special holiday greetings via recorded videos produced by Operation Best Wishes. Service people receive secure email links almost immediately after the messages are recorded, and they remain available for 90 days, said Walt Lasko, national tour manager for Operation Best Wishes. He led the creation of the program while working for a credit union and took it national eight years ago. The national tour goes to military installations across the United States, he said.
